Kendal serves approximately 1,800 meals each day, and is renovating their Kitchen, Café and 250 seat Dining Room. We’ll be selling the currently used equipment. The café equipment will be sold on auction day but will not be available for pickup until April 1, 2010. If you can’t attend the Auction you can leave bids with us or register to bid live online via Proxibid. Most, but not all of what we are selling will be available online, as Kendal is and will be adding items that they are discovering that they don’t need, until Auction Day.

Inspections will be held on December 3rd from 1-3PM & the day before the Auction from 2-4PM & Auction day from 8:30AM.

Unfortunately we will not be able to complete our catalog until the day before the Auction as most items are in use on a daily basis.

Load out, Kitchen: (lots 300-499) Day of sale or Friday, December 18th from 9AM to 5PM.
Load out, “Gathering Room”: (lots 1-299) Day of sale.
Load out, Café: (lots 500-550) April 1st & 2nd, 2010 at 9AM.  Load out, Library: May 1, 2010 at 9AM. 
Any items not removed within the designated windows will be abandoned & disposed of at the discretion of THCo or Kendal.

Notice to Auction Attendees:

Kendal at Hanover is a fully functional continuing care retirement community of over four hundred residents and staff. They are undergoing extensive renovations to their kitchen and dining facilities. This auction is part of the renovation process. This auction is being held “in their home.” For security reasons we ask that you remain within areas designated for the auction and for loading of purchases, follow signs and directions given by Thomas Hirchak Company and Kendal at Hanover personnel. Please do not wander around the facility on your own as you will be approached and asked to leave by security personnel.  When you are leaving the auction with your purchases we ask that you present your receipt to our security personnel to check you out of the auction. No purchases will be allowed out of the facility without proof of purchase.

Please also respect the following requests:

• Absolutely NO SMOKING allowed on premises, indoors or outdoors
• No food or beverages inside the building except in covered containers
• Use only designated rest rooms next to the Gathering Room
• New elevator next to rest rooms is for residents only
• Please DO NOT park on the grass!
• The Café will NOT be open to auction attendees. There will be a caterer on site.

Critical Information for On-line bidders: 

Removal of purchases within the kitchen (lots 300-499) day of sale or Friday, December 18th from 9:00 to 5:00 PM. Removal of all items from the “Gathering Room” (lots 1-299) must be completed on the day of the Auction. Removal of items from the Café (lots 500-550) will be on April 1st & 2nd, 2010 at 9:00 AM.  Removal of items from the Library will be on May 1st, 2010 at 9:00 AM.  Any items not removed within the designated windows will be abandoned and disposed of at the discretion of THCo or Kendal.  If you plan on bidding and will require removal and/or transportation services, please contact one or more moving companies well in advance of the Auction and be sure you have your arrangements in place.  If you or your mover would like to inspect the items you are interested in, so that they may quote a rate, there will be inspections on Thursday December 3 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM and Wednesday December 16 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. THCo employees will be on site to assist.
